Location

Surin Beach is one of Phuket’s calmest, most idyllic beaches. It used to be heavily developed, but this has now been reversed, with small commerce of shops and street food vendors providing everything you may need without disturbing the beach’s natural beauty. The hotel is only a 2-minute walk from the beach, and perfectly located for relaxing and enjoying this little slice of paradise. If you do fancy a big, messy night out, Phuket’s iconic Patong Beach and Bangla Walking Road are about a half-hour drive away - you can get a taxi for about $15, or take a bus.

Style & Design

Outrigger Surin Phuket’s has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, so everything looks brand new. The design is extremely stylish, with classic Thai patterns and materials contrasting with a clean, contemporary look in earthy tones: a perfect blend of modernity and tradition, East and West.

Facilities

As well as being a stone’s throw from one of Phuket’s best beaches, the resort boasts two swimming pools, a bright and airy fitness studio, a cool split-level restaurant and bar with an open-flame BBQ, and a loft bar with incredible views of Phuket sunsets.

Rooms

Outrigger Surin Phuket offers a range of rooms, all of which are beautifully styled with traditional Thai handicrafts and cozy modern furnishings. All rooms feature a heavenly king-sized bed, a sitting area, and an en-suite bathroom. If you can, spring for a Deluxe Pool Access room (with direct access to the hotel’s pool) or even a Plunge Pool Suite, complete with your own garden terrace and plunge pool. If you’re really looking for all-out luxury, you can’t go wrong with the duplex Grand Suite, with its balcony overlooking the pool and gardens and it’s floor-to-ceiling windows.

Brand Collaboration

The location of the Outrigger is fantastic, sitting just three minutes away from Surin Beach, which is famous for crystal-clear waters and pristine sand without the tourist crowds. The spacious rooms highlight lovely private plunge pools, and the cheerful staff are consistently eager to help. It serves as an ideal base for driving to nearby attractions like the elephant sanctuary. The breakfast hot food section changes daily to keep things fresh, and while the hot options are kept tightly focused, the overall quality and service are excellent.

We felt very comfortable and safe during our stay. The staff are remarkably friendly, and while the hotel's layout makes it an ideal spot for family tourists, the inclusive and warm hospitality ensures that gay travelers feel entirely respected and at ease.
