Location

Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa is located on Mai Khao Beach, on the quieter northern end of the island. You’re a long way away from the crazy nightlife of Patong Beach, which for many is a blessing. This is the perfect place to get away from the go-go bars and beach parties to enjoy some well-deserved pampering and relaxation. Ironically, the remote location makes the hotel very easy to reach: Renaissance Phuket is just a 20-minute drive from Phuket Airport, and a 3-hour drive from the southern Thai hub of Surat Thani.

Style & Design

Renaissance Phuket does an expert job of blending a clean, contemporary style with distinctive Thai influences. This is seen in beautiful details like the vaulted shape of the private villa roofs, reminiscent of a Thai temple, or in the lush tropical greenery surrounding the hotel pool. Even the most basic bedrooms are beautifully bright and airy, with a glass panel separating the room and bathroom for an open-plan feel.

Facilities

The hotel has all the hallmarks of an exceptional 5-star resort, including a lovely ocean-facing outdoor pool and a truly gorgeous day spa offering a wide range of high-end treatments. Fitness fanatics will love the hotel gym, which comes with a solid set of proper weightlifting equipment, as well as the many activities on offer. These include yoga, volleyball, soccer, circuit training, and pilates. Food options are varied and superb, from an authentic Thai restaurant to fresh nightly barbeques, international meals, and carefully crafted poolside cocktails.

Rooms

Renaissance Phuket offers two sizes of rooms as well as a stylish 1-bedroom suite. However, if you have the budget, it’s the private villas that you want. Each comes with a plunge pool as well as luxury touches like huge bathtubs and LCD TV’s with premium channels like ESPN and HBO. You can even opt for one with an ocean view, or for a huge 3-bedroom duplex housing up to six people.

Brand Collaboration

The pool and beachfront areas at the Renaissance display some of the most breathtaking sunset views and beautiful coastal scenery found in Phuket. The resort is fully equipped with premium amenities, including a 24-hour gym and a gorgeous spa sanctuary. Because the restaurants feature high-quality, made-to-order selections, table wait times can run a bit long during peak hours, and being in a dense tropical environment means you might spot a native insect outdoors, but the overall luxury experience is fantastic.

We felt very comfortable throughout our entire stay. The staff treated us exceptionally well and were remarkably thoughtful and respectful in the way they addressed us as a couple, making this a top-tier premium recommendation for the community.
