Location

The Naka Island Phuket is the only resort on Naka Yai Island, a small idyllic patch of land off the East coast of Phuket. The island is famed for its pearl production and its quiet, sandy beaches, making a great place to get away from the commercialized, hard-partying vibe of Phuket. The resort offers transfer services from Phuket airport and from major island hubs like Patong beach. There is a shuttle bus on-site to take you across the large resort, and three complimentary boat services throughout the day to get you to the main island. However, these do not operate late at night. If you want to enjoy the nightlife of Phuket, you are better off staying on the main island – you can always head to the tranquil isolation of Naka Yai Island when things get too much.

Style & Design

The resort’s design is sleek and modern, relying on clean lines, neutral colors, and natural materials to create an experience that is equal parts relaxing and impressive. The style is just understated enough to highlight the natural beauty of the island, which is put front and center through the use of clever design: several of the glass-fronted rooms and villas jut out into the landscape at different levels, offering both stunning panoramic views and privacy.

Facilities

The resort is designed to help guests relax and take in the gorgeous natural beauty of the region. All guests have direct beachfront access to the island’s broad stretches of sand as well as to the large central infinity pool, both of which offer awesome sunset views. The Naka Spa is a true sanctuary for relaxation, with a gorgeous “Watsu Treatment” area for soaking away your worries as well as a wide menu of treatments. If you’re looking for something more active, there is an extremely well-equipped fitness center directly overlooking the ocean. A range of activities are available on the island, which the hotel can help you arrange: these include biking, kayaking, sailing, and snorkeling. When it comes to dining, the resort offers both high-end and more casual options. Don’t miss out on My Grill, a restaurant specializing in mouthwatering grills with high-quality local ingredients like fresh Phuket lobster.

Rooms
