The Hoxton, Shoreditch

Opened in 2006, The Hoxton is a well-established institution in the category of high-end trendy Shoreditch hotels. The interiors are plush and modern – think lots of exposed brick, wood, and leather – and the vibe is boutique-style, despite the over 200 rooms.

Rooms come in three sizes – Shoebox, Cozy, and Roomy – ranging from a compact 12sqm to a more spacious 25sqm. There are also special Concept Rooms, which you have to request specially, and which are individually designed by local artists.

The Hoxton is located where Shoreditch meets Old Street and Bethnal Green. Several gay venues, old and new, are dotted around this area, including Bunker Bar, The Glory, and Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club.
