The Skylark is a boutique property located in North Palm Springs 1 and a half miles from the gay strip and half a mile from gay venue Toucans Tiki Lounge. Initially built in 1955, it’s been meticulously restored over the years so that it hasn’t lost any of its old-world charm.
The 28 rooms have a modern twist on their original 50s design; the furnishings are mahogany and walnut mid-century Danish reproductions.
The outdoor heated pool is open to the public for a day-pass fee. If you decide to spend the night, the cost is deducted from the room rate.
There’s no onsite restaurant, but it isn’t necessary with so many dining options on your doorstep.
