Avani+ Samui is a small, intimate resort located in a secluded corner of the island. With its relaxing blue and white decor and its unbeatable sunsets, this is the place to come if you want to unwind away from the neon and the buckets of booze.

Location

Avani+ is located on one of the most remote parts of the island, on the southwestern tip. This means it gets incredible sunsets, and that you are as far removed from the party island vibe as you can be. Come here for complete peace and isolation. Thong Krut, a small traditional fisherman’s village with a few restaurants and boutiques, is a 5-minute drive from the resort. It has a small beach and a pier where you can charter long-tail boats to neighboring islands and snorkelling spots.

Style & Design

The style at Avani+ is fresh and simple, based on a white and teal color palette. The rooms in particular have a minimalist and clean aesthetic, which feels chic and upmarket, yet unpretentious.

Facilities

The beachfront restaurant is incredibly pleasant and delicious, serving fresh, healthy food with daily specials and contemporary presentation. There is an extremely well-equipped gym with cardio machines, free weights, strength training machines, and pilates equipment. Additionally, you will find yoga, Muay Thai, paddle boarding, and fitness classes on offer. You can also rent bikes to explore the area, and the hotel staff can book you a variety of incredible island experiences, from mangrove kayaking to jungle trekking and temple touring. And of course, you can then relax with a pampering treatment at the spa.

Rooms

You have a choice between a Deluxe room with a balcony and a private pool villa. The former is a great-value option, especially as the rooms are spacious and extremely pleasant. The villas make for a great treat, whether you’re in a group of friends or looking for something more romantic and intimate. All of the accommodation comes with great facilities, including a rain shower, portable Bluetooth speaker and, in the case of the villas, Nespresso coffee machine and kitchenette.

Brand Collaboration

This amazing resort features a gorgeous private beach, two beautiful swimming pools, and an incredible breakfast lineup every morning. Staying in one of the private pool villas offers a wonderful, chill space to unwind, especially late at night. While some of the local staff are still perfecting their English, team members like Stephan go above and beyond with exceptional kindness to ensure your stay is flawless.

Most of the staff are part of the community, which instantly made me feel incredibly safe and welcome. It is a highly inclusive, open-minded sanctuary where you can fully relax and feel supported throughout your entire island holiday.
