Location

Situated on top of Pratumnak Hill, the InterContinental Pattaya Resort has exceptional ocean views over the Gulf of Thailand and Koh Larn Island. It’s high enough that it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city but only a few minutes away if needed. It’s also conveniently halfway between the gay bars of Boyztown in Pattaya and Supertown in Jomtien. A motorcycle taxi will take you to either place in under 10 minutes. The hotel is built on the side of the hill, so there are views from the rooms at the top, right down to the man-made beach next to the ocean.

Style & Design

The Intercontinental has a modern Thai theme, with loads of timber. It’s sleek and sophisticated, and the feeling of opulence is evident from the moment you enter the reception area. As you’d expect from a 5-star hotel, the staff go above and beyond, ensuring your stay is the best it can possibly be.

Facilities

The outdoor pool area above the reception overlooks the ocean and provides waiter service from an extensive food and beverage menu. The man-made beach oceanside has white sand and lounge chairs. Amburaya Spa offers massage and other therapies to relax your body and mind. The natural setting makes you feel like you could be in a tropical forest but with an ocean view. There are two dining choices. Elements Restaurant on the outdoor terrace is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; if you’re fortunate enough to stay a Saturday night, be sure to enjoy the Seafood BBQ buffet. Infiniti Restaurant offers beachside dining from 11 am to 11 pm with happy hour daily from 7 pm to 8 pm — a perfect start to a night out. Both restaurants have sunset views.

There are 156 rooms and suites at the InterContinental Pattaya Resort. Every tastefully decorated room is spacious, with high ceilings; even the lead-in rooms start at 45 square meters, and every room has a balcony. It’s hard to choose a room.
