Hotel CC is ideally located on the Damrak, right next to the red light district. Within a five-minute walk, you can reach a huge variety of gay bars and clubs, including The Queen’s Head, Café ’t Mandje, Dirty Dicks, The ONE @ Club Eagle, Drake’s, The Cuckoo’s Nest, and The WEB (not to mention the city’s only gay sauna). These places vary from low-key traditional bars to fetish cruising clubs, meaning there is something for everyone in the area.

However, the location isn’t just about gay Amsterdam. It is also a great place for eating, drinking, shopping, and sightseeing – all of central Amsterdam’s attractions are walking distance. The iconic coffee shop (not the coffee kind of coffee shop) The Grasshopper is a couple of steps away.

The hotel itself is a modern and straightforward 3-star. Rooms are on the smaller side (as you can expect with a hotel in such a central location) but they are clean, comfortable, and pleasantly decorated in neutral tones. If space is important to you, the large rooms are usually well-priced. The family rooms for 3 or 4 people are also more spacious, perfect for groups of friends.
