Location

The hotel has one of the best locations in the city: directly opposite Amsterdam Centraal train station. This makes it an easy transfer whether you’re arriving by rail or air (there is a direct train service from Schipol Airport), and it also places you right on the Damrak, one of Amsterdam’s main avenues. Perhaps most importantly, the hotel is also a 2-minute walk from Sauna Nieuwezijds, Amsterdam’s top-of-the-range gay sauna.

Style & Design

art’otel amsterdam is all about, well, art. Original artwork by Atelier Van Lieshout on display throughout the building and the 5&33 Gallery upstairs has a rotating display of contemporary artists. The interiors are all strikingly modern and are mostly in a monochrome palette of grey, white, and black. This contrasts beautifully with the old-fashioned exterior of the building.

Facilities

The hotel restaurant, 5&33 Kitchen, serves up a Mediterranean-inspired menu of small bites – don’t miss out on their truffle specialties and Truffle Tuesdays. The bar is known for its creative cocktails, hosting a weekly live music night as well as DJ sessions every weekend.
