For budget gay travelers, this is the ideal place to stay. Gaythering has a sauna and bar as part of the complex, and breakfast is served daily in the bar.

The rooms all have a full-size bed and a sleep sound machine. As the rooms are separated by 7’ partitions only, there can be some noise at night. We love the XL Crate room for the ceiling dome mirror over the bed.

There are two stunning pool areas. The first is a 72 ft pool on the second floor, which features a glass cut-out over the lobby area. The communal shower area makes for flirtatious fun. The shallow lounging pool on the 8th-floor deck offers 360-degree panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, South Beach, and downtown Miami.

We love The Sandbox. It’s a secret hideaway just off the beach, and there are hammocks and low-lying beds to take a nap in between cocktails.

The resort has two private pools, one of which has luxury cabanas outfitted with televisions.

A $30 million renovation was completed in November 2020, and now W South Beach is the only resort on Miami Beach where every room has an ocean view. The rooms are luxurious and modern, with herringbone flooring and Italian marble in the bathrooms.

The beach area has private beach chairs for hotel guests (2 complimentary per room), and the hotel’s Beach Ambassadors care for the clients’ every need.

There are two W hotels in Miami. In the heart of Miami’s financial district, the W Miami is the most booked gay-friendly hotel in Miami Downtown and is on the corner of the peninsula. To your right is Biscayne Bay, and to your left is Miami River.

The rooms at the W Miami are stunning. They have floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay. Every room has a marble bathroom and features the W signature bed; you won’t want to get out of it in the morning.

The pool deck on the 15th floor faces the bay and is open daily from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm. Also on the 15th floor is ADDiKT restaurant, with outdoor seating, which offers contemporary American food.

Made up of five buildings on Ocean Drive, the Strand Ocean Drive Suites is ideally situated opposite Lummus Park and facing South Beach. It’s two blocks from the gay venues on Washington Avenue.

The all-suite rooms range from 500 sq ft to 800 sq ft, with many of them ocean-facing. Each suite has a kitchenette and a rain shower; most have balconies.

Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Brickell is conveniently located in the downtown area, next to the river. It’s opposite Fort Dallas Park and only a few steps to the ferry terminal. Two Metromover train stations are nearby.

Choose from queen-bed rooms or king-bed suites. For the price, they’re excellent rooms. There’s a small outdoor pool and a fitness center.
