Most of Hong Kong’s gay nightlife takes place on Friday and Saturday nights. Hong Kong’s gay scene is slightly limited compared to other capitals across Asia, especially gay Bangkok or gay Taiwan.
While the gay scene in Hong Kong has lost some of its biggest and most established names, new gay nights and new venues are always popping up. Propaganda, Gay Hong Kong’s biggest nightclub for over 25 years closed permanently in February 2016.
Gay Hong Kong’s nightlife is mainly located in Hong Kong Island in Soho (South of Hollywood Road, HK Island) and LKF (Lan Kwai Fong, HK Island). Soho and LKF are separate areas but are within easy walking distance from each other, just a 10-minute walk between them.
