The Red House and surrounding streets form Taipei’s gay village. The area is great for gay bar hopping and also includes some gay saunas, shops, and cafes. The Red house is in Ximending neighborhood of Wanhua district, Taipei’s oldest area.
Da’an district is the commercial heart of Taipei, and offers a more upmarket selection of gay bars and clubs with trendy gay cocktail bars such as Park Lounge and gMix. Gay Taipei’s biggest gay nightclub, G-Star, is located in Zhongshan district. This is only a short journey from either The Red House bars or Da’an’s cocktail bars, meaning you can easily hop from the bar to the club.
Gay Taipei’s biggest gay clubbing events are ever changing parties organized by three main groups, WOOW, WERK, and CUM Dance, venues and dates change regularly so keep up to date on their Facebook pages. For nightclubs, G-Star is located in Zhongshan District. Only a short drive from either The Red House bars or Da’an’s cocktail bars. Taipei used to be the best place in Asia for gay clubbing however the city’s biggest gay clubs have closed in recent years and are yet to be replaced.

Taipei Gay Dance & Performances
G Star is one of Gay Taipei’s most popular gay dance clubs. The venue is spread out over two floors, features performances from cute dancers. G Star is popular among young local crowd, so, expecting local guys take over the main stage and do the dance to girl-group K-pop songs. Upstairs are private karaoke rooms, recommend to book in advance for weekends. G Star gay dance club opens at 10 pm until late, however, it gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights from 11 pm onwards.
G.Star Taipei – Volunteer Dance Groups Take Over the Stage
One of Taipei’s main gay dance clubs, G*star for some reason, local guys here love to get on stage and do the dances to Asian girl-group K-pop songs.
Music: A mix of international chart music to (lots of) Korean pop.
Crowd: G Star is popular with the local younger crowds. Volunteer Dance groups take the stage all night, who knows how long they spend learning the moves.
Dress: The gay scene in Taipei is quite relaxed when it comes to clothing. Trendy not formal is important.

G Star Taipei is located in Zhongshan District of Taipei. The nearest metro station is Nanjing Fuxing.
Taxi: Ask the taxi drivers for Longjiang Road, Lane 21. G Star is near the corner of Longjiang Road and Lane 21 Longjiang.
Metro: The nearest station is Nanjing Fuxing, G Star Taipei is around 10 minutes walk from the station exit.

Who doesn’t love people watching? Cafe Dalida is located in the middle of Red Square is a cute gay-friendly bar & cafe. Perfect place to hang out, to meet other like-minded travelers, and also to get your night started. Plus reasonably priced drinks and shots.
Cafe’ Dalida is located in the gay village in Red House Square, this fun little bar has a nice terrace for people watching. The bar specializes in cocktails and is well known for its Mojitos. With the DJ playing the latest beats from around the world, popular with both locals and tourists, this is a good bar to start your night out.

Hunt is a basement gay bar near Taipei’s gay street in Red House. It hosts nightly-themed sexy party events and go-go shows. It’s one of Taipei’s most popular gay bars. Open daily from 9 pm and gets busy around 11 pm. On the 2nd Saturday of each month, they hold Hunting Season theme parties with shower shows, lube-wrestling, and underwear and towel parties, as well as K-pop nights.
