Built in the 1950s, The Anndore Hotel was a fashionable place for famous people to hang out. Reborn in 2018, it’s now a fusion of the quirky past with modern style. It’s conveniently located in Yorkville, only half a kilometer from the gayborhood of Church-Wellesley Village (2 minutes by taxi). It’s on the subway line between two stations, either two blocks north or three blocks south,
Constantine is a Mediterranean restaurant open all day, and Scarlet Door is a coffee shop that pays tribute to the seminal punk and new wave scenes that defined the area in the 1970s and 80s. There are no health facilities on site, yet there’s a running park next door and a gym one and a half blocks away.
The 115 rooms and suites are contemporary with a modern flair and a tribute to the surrounding area. They even have a vinyl record player complete with a selection of records. Well=behaved pets are also welcome at the Anndore House.
