HOTELS

If you don’t have the time to travel to the southern islands, the bustling coastal city of Hua Hin and its quieter northern neighbor, Cha Am, are excellent choices for a beach getaway. So Sofitel Hua Hin is located on Cha Am beach, a peaceful and laid-back stretch of sand free of the overdevelopment that sometimes tarnishes Thai beaches.

That doesn’t mean it's boring. The resort comes with its very own WIBIT Adventure Float course to keep you fit and entertain for hours. Plus tones of onsight activities including Tennis and Basketball Court, Pickleball, Bicycle Track and the SO Wonderland 18-hole adventure mini golf course. There is a fun atmosphere throughout the resort, especially on the weekends, and even if you’re there during the week, So Sofitel’s five-star amenities can keep you both entertained and relaxed throughout your getaway.

There is a huge beachside swimming pool for doing laps and splashing around, and another adults-only pool perfect for relaxing. The rooms and suites are impeccably designed with either a nature-inspired or a modern chic decor, and there are even luxury villas with private pools. Add to that a great spa, incredible rain showers, three delicious dining options, and a full home theatre system with 42-inch plasma in every room, and you can understand why most guests spend most of their stay in the hotel.

Stay on their SO Sofitel Hua Hin Beach Party weekends, one of the best nights out in Cha Am in your very resort. Parties take place quarterly.

Why We Love It

♥ The beach party is one of Hua Hin’s best and most popular.
♥ The relatively remote location and top-class facilities make it a great place for a relaxing getaway.

Location

SO Sofitel Hua Hin is about a two-hour drive from Bangkok, making it an excellent seaside getaway from the capital. The location is remote, with direct access to a small private beach. There are regular shuttles to the towns of Cha Am and Hua Hin, but chances are you won’t want to leave the resort too often.

Style & Design

SO Sofitel Hua Hin is based on a fun and playful sense of design, from the mind of famous interior designer Donatien Carratier. Rooms are bright and colorful, with clashing patterns and textures, without ever being “too much”. The decor succeeds in taking classic luxury elements, such as four-poster beds and antique-inspired furniture, and making them feel fresh and modern.

Facilities

SO Sofitel Hua Hin more than makes up for its remote location with its vast selection of activities. If you’re into lounging, you can choose between the beach or one of the hotel’s three pools. If you prefer something more active, why not try out the floating obstacle course, a game on a sports court, a class like yoga or Thai boxing, or a cardio session at the gym? Whatever you choose, you can round it off with a massage in a starlit cocoon in the uniquely designed SOSPA, or with a meal and a drink in one of the resort’s many bars and restaurants.

Rooms

Rooms come in a wide range of styles and sizes, so there’s something for everyone. They either come in a SO Arty or SO Nature theme, the former featuring bright colors and artwork and the latter a more muted and relaxing style. The smallest room, SO Comfy, is still 60sqm, so whatever you choose you’re not compromising on space. The best rooms come with direct pool access, but if you’re treating yourself you might as well go for the private pool villas. These come in one and two-bedroom, so they are ideal for both couples and small groups of friends.
