Sansi Diputacio Hotel (often shortened to Sansi Barcelona) benefits from a perfect location for the gay traveler (or just about any traveler). It is based in Eixample, a 10-minute walk to most of Barcelona’s gay bars and clubs, and an even shorter walk to Plaza de Cataluña, the Ramblas, and the Gaudi landmarks on Passeig de Gracia. There is a convenient metro station (Universitat, L1 and 2) that easily connects to other areas of the city.
The hotel is relatively no-frills, with decor that sometimes feels a little dated. However, the rooms are very comfortable (especially the plush beds) and usually offer good value for money. The suites and terrace rooms are both extremely bright and spacious, with the terrace being particularly sizeable. Both the WiFi and aircon can sometimes be a bit patchy.
The main attraction here is the location, just across the street from Arena CLASSIC and Arena MADRE gay clubs.
♥ Just across the street from a popular gay club Arena MADRE
