As the name indicates, Riverview Suites sits by the banks of the Tamsui River, just a short 10-minute walk from Taipei's gay bars at the Red House theater. The gay-friendly hotel offers a range of simple, comfortable rooms in various sizes, some with lovely river views. The decor is on the dated side, except in the more recently-renovated Deluxe Suite. There is a basic gym, a good breakfast selection, and several bars and restaurant options on-site.
