Lisbon Poets Inn Hostel

Lisbon Poets Inn is an excellent hostel offering both dorms and private rooms. It is located quite far away from most of the gay nightlife and major sights, but there is a metro station less than 3 minutes away with a direct connection to Baixa-Chiado as well as various bus stops. The famously picturesque neighborhood of Alfama is just 15 minutes away from the hostel.

The dorms feature specially-designed beds with privacy curtain, reading light, individual locker, and two plug outlets. They come in two, four, or six beds, meaning the rooms are never too big or too crowded. Privates are either twin or double, shared bathroom or ensuite. All the rooms are clean and decorated in a neutral style.

One of the best things about this hostel is its friendly and sociable vibe. A full course dinner with unlimited sangria, cooked by an in-house chef, is offered every day for 10 euros. You are also always welcome to use the kitchen to make your own meals. There is a free tour of the area available every day as well as a wider range of paid themed tours.
