As the name indicates, this hotel is located just next to one of Berlin’s most iconic sights, the portion of the Berlin Wall known as the East Side Gallery. It is also a short walk from Berlin Ostbahnhof (East Train Station), making it a convenient base for getting around the city. Berghain, the city’s most famous club, is also walking distance from the hotel.
Hotel Indigo Berlin East Side Gallery’s design is contemporary and inventive, taking inspiration from Friedrichshain’s street art heritage but keeping things elegant and simple. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with some truly excellent spa-inspired bathrooms. Some of the rooms come with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river or the East Side Gallery.
If you can’t get a view room, don’t worry – the swish rooftop bar provides you with all the city vistas you need. The restaurant features awesome local art and quality German tapas, as well as an excellent selection of wines and beers. There is a basic gym with cardio equipment and free weights, which is open 24 hours.
