The Chelsea Hotel Toronto is one of the most booked, upscale gay-friendly hotels in Toronto's gayborhood. It's located in the heart of downtown Toronto and underwent a major $25 million renovation project in 2023. It’s conveniently located one block from the College subway station and is a 10-minute stroll to the start of the Church-Wellesley gayborhood.
In a city where a hotel pool is like a unicorn, Chelsea Hotel one-ups the rest by having two pools. The family-friendly one is on the second floor, but our favorite is the adults-only one on level 27. It’s indoor and heated for year-round use. There’s also a whirlpool and a full-scale gym.
The Chelsea Hotel Toronto is Canada’s largest hotel, with a whopping 1,590 rooms and 34 suites. As part of the renovation, the rooms were updated to be more modern and with more up-to-date technology. Dogs and cats, up to 2 per room, are welcome.
