Atlantic Sun Beach – Gay Men Only

Atlantic Sun Beach is located in Maspalomas, about a 25-minute walk across the dunes to the gay beach at Hut 7. Yumbo is about 15-minutes away, but there are a handful of closer gay nightlife options. Fetish cruise club TImE oFF by Romeo & Julio is a short walk away, as are the gay hotspots in Cita Center, including SCORE bar, MAUU, and Cafe Wien.

This gay-only hotel offers convenient apartment-style accommodation, with most apartments directly facing or overlooking the pool. There are two categories, standard and superior, with the main difference being that only the superior apartments have air conditioning – this means the standard apartments are not a good idea in the height of summer.

That said, the apartments are comfortable and well-equipped. The kitchenette is small, but it does have electric hobs as well as a microwave and coffee machine, which allows for a bigger range of food you can make. Another plus is that, since the hotel is located in a quiet residential area, you get a much better night’s sleep than in some more central locations.

The pool area is also quiet and relaxing, with very good sun throughout the day as well as some nice shady spots. There is no gym or bar, but you can take a breakfast buffet in another nearby hotel. However, buying your own breakfast ingredients and starting the day on your private balcony is definitely the way to go.
