There aren’t a lot of international hotel brands in Tulum, so if you’re looking for a place to burn some points welcome to Aloft Tulum, operated by Marriott. It’s an adults-only upscale hotel on the eastern side of Tulum town, with the jungle between it and the ocean, which is 5 km away—the hotel provides free shuttle buses to and from the beach.
