Generator specializes in cool, design-forward boutique hostels, and the Copenhagen branch does not disappoint. The dorm rooms have a minimalist style and feature custom-made bunk beds with a personal shelf, underbed locker, and individual light. The privates have a more colorful, quirky decor and come in a range of sizes. Groups can also book full dorm rooms for themselves. The hostel has a range of awesome spaces, from the bright terrace bar (complete with petanque area) to the large downstairs restaurant, designed for communal eating. There’s even shuffleboard. The buffet breakfast is tasty and good value. There’s a bit of a party hostel vibe, with regular DJ nights, but it’s big enough that you can also chill out if that’s what you prefer. Generator Copenhagen is centrally located, about 10 minutes from Nyhavn.
