This hotel’s bar, The REM Bar, is one of the oldest gay bars in Manchester’s Canal Street, making this the closest thing Manchester has to a full-on gay hotel. The rooms are basic and have been recently renovated with modern minimalist design. Some of the rooms have private bathrooms, while some have a shared bathroom. While this is a great option for people who just want somewhere to crash after a night out on Canal Street, it is worth pointing out that the noise from the pub downstairs does carry into the rooms, so it’s not ideal if you are planning on getting an early night.
