Its prime location in Wireless Road makes it a convenient location for every gay traveler to Bangkok; shops, restaurants, and only 10 minutes taxi or 25 minutes walk from Bangkok gayborhood, Silom Soi 2 and Silom Soi 4.

Facilities include an indoor-outdoor pool and bar. A fine-dining restaurant offers classic French afternoon tea, and a classy bar is perfect for starting the night in style.

A world-famous American architect designed the interiors, and the hotel screams luxury from the second a guest walks in. It’s a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member and has earned a MICHELIN one key.

Location

Witthayu Road (Wireless in English) is a central street linking Sukhumvit Road to Silom. It is home to several embassies, including those of the US, Finland, Switzerland, and Australia. The Central Embassy shopping mall and Phloen Chit BTS station are a 10-minute walk to the north. Japanese and Korean restaurants are also found in this area of Sukhumvit Road. Lumpini Park, where many handsome guys run before and after work, is a few minutes walk south. Gay travelers looking to party in the Silom gayborhood can jump on a motorcycle taxi and be there within five minutes. Wireless Road is home to numerous fine dining restaurants, boutique fashion stores, and King Power duty-free for international shoppers.

Style & Design

Renowned American architect Barbara Barry collaborated with Oriental Residence Bangkok, and her signature style of timeless and elegant interiors is evident in the beautifully decorated suites. Her aim was to capture the essence of Oriental charm with Thai warmth, and she succeeded. Guests keen to learn more about her can visit her showroom display at Siam Paragon. The MICHELIN Key Award is a new hotel evaluation program introduced by the Michelin Guide in April 2024. Oriental Residence Bangkok was recently awarded one key, which signifies an exceptional stay with high comfort and great personality. Oriental Residence Bangkok is also a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Facilities

The terrace on level four of Oriental Residence Bangkok is the place to refresh and relax. The 24-hour fitness center contains quality cardiovascular and multi-system resistance equipment. The indoor-outdoor lap pool is open daily from 6 am to 9 pm. Next to the pool is The Play Deck cafe and bar, where light meals, snacks, and signature cocktails can be consumed. An alternate dining option is Cafe Claire, a French-themed restaurant that is open all day and serves classic afternoon tea from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m. Oriental Bar is a classy establishment offering timeless sophistication and eternal elegance. The dress code is smart casual.

Oriental Residence Bangkok has 145 suites. Their elegant interiors combine modern comforts with traditional Oriental charm and reflect Barbara Barry's design philosophy. The suites are available in one-, two-, or three-bedroom configurations with views of the city or Lumpini Park. The suites are spacious, with lead-ins starting at 45 sqm.
