Elysium Hotel (Gay Hotel)

Elysium is one of the most booked gay hotels in Mykonos, and for good reason. This stylish 4-star is “straight-friendly”, but is very much one of the town’s biggest gay hotspots during the summer peak season. This is thanks in part to its poolside terrace bar, which combines some of the island’s most stunning sunsets with drag shows, parties, and more.

The hotel itself is modern and low-key. The rooms are decorated in a refreshing and minimalist style, with an entirely white color scheme offset by pieces of contemporary art. They come in two categories, with the Superior rooms being considerably larger. All rooms have at least a small balcony, although some have larger terraces and some have lovely sea views.

All guests get complimentary access to a small gym as well as to sauna, hydromassage, and steam room facilities.

Elysium is located a little outside the main town center, but it’s still only a 15-minute walk to seaside gay bars like Babylon. The location on top of a hill makes reaching the hotel a climb, but it is also the reason for its exceptional views.

The staff are one of the best things about Elysium. Not only are they attentive and friendly, but they are also a great source of gay insider knowledge about the island. Overall, the rates at Elysium are relatively high for Mykonos standards, but there is nowhere better to stay if you want to be right in the middle of Mykonos gay life.
