The Red House is home to Taipei’s “gay village”, which comprises a collection of gay bars, restaurants, and cafes. The Red House building is actually a historical theatre building which now hosts many cultural events including weekend markets for artists and designers. The ‘gay village’ surrounds the Red House, in the nearby streets. Most of the gay bars and cafes have outside terrace setting which are great spots for people watching and per party drinks.
