Jongno is one of the most famous areas for gay travellers seeking the local gay scenes. Only 25 mins on the train to get to Homo Hill Itaewon, Korean’s main gay hub. Also street food and shopping. It’s the place that everyone will be sitting on the side of the street for dinner next to subway station of Jngno 3-ga, line 5. Afterwards, all boys head down into the narrow street for bar hopping. Over 25 bars, such as The Nine, Posh or even the most expensive karaoke on the street X-Large. Keep in mind that the street is located right in the middle of the community and that’s why there are no dance clubs but over 40 bars to experience Korean’s gay scene if you come over the weekends.

Jongno Street Bars, Seoul
Music: The area are full of trendy local but the music is pretty well mixed amount of top 40 pop from Youtube hits and Kpop.
Crowd: Local is the main crowd here for food, drink and chat about. However, there is a few mix of international visitors and expats who’re exploring the gay scene in this little charming narrow street.
Drinks: You can’t really say no to So-Ju (Korean’s most popular alcohol drink). Either take it like a shot or mixing it up with local beer. Cost around 4,500 – 5,000 Won (4 USD).
Dress: There is no dress code on the gay street, just remember you’re in one of the most fashionable city. Casual but trendy with comfy and don’t let yourself down.
