Shanghai's Best Gay Saunas

Hawaii Gym Shanghai | Exercise and Relaxing

Hawaii-Gym-Best-Gay-Sauna-Shanghai

Hawaii Gym Shanghai stands out from the crowd as the most modern and upscale gay sauna in the city. It is a fully equipped men-only gym with a steam room, sauna, and showers. If you want a nice, clean, and fun spa experience, this is probably the best place to go. The main downside is the location, which is a bit out the way in south Shanghai.

Lian Bang Hotel Shanghai | Best Located Sauna

Lianbang-Sauna-Best-Gay-Sauna-Shanghai

The Lian Bang Hotel Shanghai is in the Huangpu District, meaning it is by far the most central gay sauna in the city. The location is its biggest benefit: the facilities are a bit outdated, although there have been recent renovation efforts. Plenty of private rooms, although many of them are just used for sleeping and watching TV.

Best For Young Chinese Guys
Location Huangpu District, away from the tourist center around People’s Square
Peak Times Sunday Afternoon and Weekday Evenings

You are not likely to miss the entrance to the Liang Bang Hotel even in the daytime, although at night the bright neon lights make it even more obvious. The sauna itself can be hard to find: it is the door on the right unmarked (the sauna on the left is straight) when you enter the alley.

Taxi: Ask for the crossing between Zhizaoju Road and Xietu East Road, and walk up from there.

Metro: There are two metro stations nearby: Baoshan Road (Lines 3 and 4) and Zhongxing Road (Line 8), approximately a 6 minute walk away.

Bus: There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel, serving lines 18 and 23.

Ding Lin Men’s Club Shanghai | Shanghai’s Largest Sauna

Ding-Lin-Men's-club-Hot-gay-sauna-Shanghai

Ding Lin Men’s Club Shanghai is the largest gay sauna in the city, and one of the oldest. It moved to a new location across two floors in 2015, but is still a standard neighborhood sauna. It is a private club, but you can just fill in a membership form when you come in. There are private rooms, but many users have reported them to be shut, so you may not have the option to use one: most of the action takes place in the steam room.

Best For Meeting a wide variety of men

Peak Times Saturday and Friday nights
Open Hours 24 hours but foreigners must leave by midnight
